The pencil has good grip dots and the wood resists getting chewed up by metal blades in a sharpener. It also does not break leads overly quickly. However, the main issue is that the writing is too faint and wispy to be seen.
The leads are break-resistant but very hard, which requires pushing hard to get a dark line, creating bad writing habits.
