As a left-handed user, I was worried about smudging, but there has been little to no transfer to my hand.

I am satisfied with the sharpener as it works in two stages and cuts the wood down before sharpening the lead. The pencils never sharpen unevenly and the wood is always perfectly rounded.
The pencil's wood is harder than typical Dixon or Tombow wood and can be felt while sharpening. However, it sharpens cleanly with smooth, perfectly symmetrical wood and the graphite takes an excellent point without chipping or breaking when using a long point sharpener (Kum, highly recommended).

The lead moves smoothly across the paper, leaving an even and clear line. It feels like butter spreading on hot toast with almost no friction and there is no scratchy sensation as I write.
The lead has a superb flow for art and is made of healthy dark graphite.
I found the lead to be soft and dry instead of firm and smooth as claimed.

The pencil lead feels soft but is remarkably strong and dark. It can be sharpened to a razor point with very few breaks.
I have never seen a lead as dark as this one. It writes smoothly and has a well-designed eraser.

The pencils are not erasable cleanly, even with the best eraser, the lines will not completely come off the paper.
I have found that the erasers do not completely erase graphite, which is the only downside of the product.
