About Amazon Basics Woodcased #2 Pencils, Pre-sharpened, HB Lead
Overall Feedback:
98% positive
95% appreciated the lead quality, but 5% found it not ideal
I find that the lead in these pencils constantly breaks, causing frustration and wasting time. I have to continuously sharpen them with fingers crossed that it won't break again.
Several pencils in the pack did not sharpen, some had broken lead inside causing them to keep breaking, and others only sharpened on one side.
95% liked the rich darkness, yet 5% felt it was dark
The lead color is the exact shade of graphite gray that other pencils have never achieved.
The lead of the pencil is not dark enough, making it difficult to read on yellow legal pads and white paper isn't much better.
90% praised the comfortable grip, although 10% found it slippery
I recommend getting a rubber grippy for the pencil's uncomfortable grip area to prevent blisters.
95% appreciated the clean erasability, but 5% noticed smudging
The erasers are not effective on this as they smear grey all around and require extra erasers to erase the marks.
96% liked the pencil's durability, though 4% experienced breakage
These pencils are durable and last a long time, unlike seasonal school pencils which have fragile lead and break constantly.
The pencils are durable even when banged on the table or excitedly smashed against paper to draw/write.
Graphite is very brittle and breaks easily when sharpened, often in the sharpener itself.
96% liked the breakage resistance, though 4% found it lacking
Graphite is very brittle and breaks easily while sharpening. I have not been able to see the graphite tip as it always breaks in the sharpener.
After sharpening, the lead of many pencils breaks and falls out.
I find that the lead in these pencils constantly breaks, causing frustration and wasting time. I have to continuously sharpen them with fingers crossed that it won't break again.
I have found that the lead is resistant to breaking and the pencils sharpen nicely without any breakage.
