92% praised the high-gloss finish, though 8% preferred a matte finish
I love the final product which brings out the grain in the wood, adds a nice golden glow, and keeps it natural with a satin finish.
I was hesitant to use the wood-stain due to its high glossy finish, but I am glad I bought and used it as it gave my bathroom the perfect semi-gloss look.
I had to redo the finish because it was damaged by borax during a science experiment, indicating poor finish quality.
70% liked the low-odor formula, though 30% found it strong
I personally love how the product turned out in both of my applications.
After applying and sanding with 400 grit between coats, I noticed that the Watco product has a peculiar odor and creates some poly dust.
I have noticed that the wood-stain has a strong odor during application and it is important to ventilate well.
