This model has a shorter shaft which makes it easier to use and more accurate than bulky long shaft models. It also has variable temperature control, making it a great tool for both professionals and beginners.
I have complained that the tip of the tool wobbles even though it is tight, making precise work impossible.
Rephrased: The tool's tip wobbles despite being tight, making precise work impossible.
76% liked the precise temperature control
This tool has a good selection of tips and the temperature control is wonderful. It can get far warmer than I would likely use for pyrography, which means it should last me much longer as I keep it on the lower temperatures.
I am concerned about the durability of the tool, specifically the lack of a stabilizing rest to keep it from rolling when hot. It would be better if the tool had extendable legs like hot glue guns have.
When I use fine point tips on wood, they tend to melt and bend.
