About TP-Link 2.4GHz N300 Long Range Outdoor CPE for PtP and PtMP Transmission
Overall Feedback:
85% positive
77% appreciated its solid build quality
The wireless access point has been running for about 8 months and has endured wind, rain, and sun.
76% found it easy to set up and configure
The setup was easy and the signal was excellent with one broadcasting to my phone and with a pair in broadcast/receiver config.
77% appreciated the fast and reliable connection
After installing the wireless access point, my bandwidth more than doubled and I am now getting the service's full bandwidth.
The wireless access point can throw 200 milli watts Wi-Fi power down a narrow corridor to our RV.
78% praised for its impressive range and coverage
The coverage is amazing even though it has not been mounted on the exterior of the building yet. I placed it in a nearby window and found that I am getting a solid signal not only in the barn next door, but also down in the arena which is 100m away. There is even a usable signal in a cottage that is probably 250m from the AP on the other side of the barn. It will only get better after proper mounting.
I was able to get wifi coverage from my house to a structure on the back of my property, which is approximately 900 away. I was shocked to see that the remote location was getting speeds over 700 Mbps despite this only being an AC867 device.
The antennas provide full WiFi coverage to most of my 2-acre yard.
I attached the wireless access point in the awning of my house and pointed it with the included software to the second unit about a 1/4 mile away. The link is steady, high speed and reliable.
This router works in 4 different ways and I was interested in the "Client mode" which allows me to connect devices on my home's lowest level via ethernet with the assistance of a small ethernet 5 port switch. The signal transmits from this router to my main WiFi internet router 2 floors above.
