About TP-Link AX3000 Whole Home Wi-Fi 6 Mesh System
93% praised the intuitive app, but 7% struggled
I like the interface with Alexa and can turn guests on/off when needed.
I found the phone app useful for checking and configuring the installation, and monitoring device attachments to nodes.
The installation process was very easy and the mobile app is great, showing all connected devices and network performance.
I find the app convenient to lock certain devices to their nearest router and set the connection to auto, 2.4 or 5.

93% praised the coverage area, but 7% found dead spots
These devices automatically determine the best way to connect and do not require any technical expertise to configure.
I now have excellent coverage throughout my house.
The coverage is great in the barn and backyard, which are approximately 30 yards from my house.
The mesh system covers up to 2500 sq. ft. and provides a reliable connection throughout my home.

87% liked the customizable settings, yet 13% found them limited
After setting up the customization settings, my TV shows became much more reliable.
To bridge the unit under the LAN settings and manually disable WiFi broadcasting on both 2.4 and 5g channels in those settings was key for me.
I can set up the nodes in a way that optimizes the network instead of connecting them randomly.
I can lock the connection on older 2.4 only devices to avoid attempting to connect on 5 gHz, showcasing the customization settings of the whole-home-mesh-wi-fi-systems.

92% liked the ability to support many devices, but 8% didn't
I like that the X55 has 3 gigabit ports on each tower to connect devices like security camera DVRs, smart TVs, game consoles, etc.
My worry about coverage was resolved after setting up this wifi router.
I had to plug the new wifi SSID/Password into 20+ smart devices across the house and realized the demand on wifi.
93% appreciated the performance, but 7% experienced issues
Both 2.4 and 5ghz signals are very strong and put to shame the built-in router sent by the internet provider.
I tested the signal and achieved high download speed of 100s MBps.
After using the router for over a month, I noticed that its speed decreases and it shows only around 50% performance of input line speed. However, I can get good performance after a restart.
I am facing constant issues with the network performance as compared to my previous nighthawk router. It is pretty poor.
89% were impressed with the security features, although 11% weren't
The system has great security features such as adding VPN directly to the network, network health monitoring, prioritizing devices for WiFi, grouping devices, and assigning them to family members for setting kids' WiFi to turn on/off at certain times.
The app displays all active and inactive devices, their connection preferences, and the router they are using/should use.
Deco X-55 has various security features like rebooting the base, showing signal strength for each device, upgrading firmware, renaming devices, and blocking devices from the app.
I had to pay for the Security+ software on this model, whereas with Deco M5, all the network protection features were free.
