About NETGEAR Orbi Whole Home Tri-band Mesh WiFi 6 System (RBK752) Router
76% praised the intuitive app, but 24% struggled
I found the app very user-friendly as it allowed me to easily view the devices connected to the network and quickly show which router or satellite each device is currently connected to.
The interface PC app might be tricky for someone who has never owned a Netgear router, but it was not a problem for me since I have used it before.
You can set it up in the browser by typing in the default gateway of 192.168.1.1 if you don't want to use the app.
I previously owned the LinkSys Velops for a couple of years and found that the connection range was better, but the app was more simplified compared to the one I am using now.

84% liked the customizable settings, yet 16% found them limited
This device's lack of VLAN tag support in AP mode is problematic for those who prefer their own router like PFSense.
87% found it easy to set up
I found the setup process of RBR750 to be easy with a user-friendly interface and straightforward installation process, making it accessible even for users with limited technical expertise.
Setting up the initial router was easy, but getting the satellite set up was a challenge. I had to hit the sync button on the router and then on the satellite.
77% liked the ability to support many devices, but 23% didn't
I have 14 devices connected to the internet and have not faced any buffering issue yet.
Firmware upgrades and patching of home devices, including Windows, IOS, Android, and many other home and IoT devices and appliances, are easy to do.
My Amazon app stated that the limit of devices is 75, but the actual limit of the device I received is 50 devices.
83% appreciated the performance, but 17% experienced issues
Orbi RBR750 delivers fast and reliable Wi-Fi coverage throughout the home, ensuring a seamless internet experience for all connected devices.
The NETGEAR Orbi Whole Home Tri-band Mesh Add-on Satellite (RBS750) has effectively expanded my Orbi WiFi 6 System coverage.
Our system has robust coverage and reliable performance, making it a game-changer for anyone seeking a top-tier mesh WiFi system.
I have complained about the poor WiFi performance of the system, despite my efforts to improve it with the help of Netgear techs. The maximum speed I could achieve was 30mps.
73% were impressed with the security features, although 27% weren't
I appreciate the security features of the Orbi router and satellite system, especially the Bitdefender security that runs quietly in the background. I have been using Bitdefender products on my devices for years and find it useful to have it running on the Orbi network. It automatically runs hardware scans, keeps me updated on any vulnerability, makes it easy to install security applications on devices on the network, and more.
I improved the security of my home and minimized the need for expensive wiring changes with the high-speed coverage of the product.
I faced issues with traditional range extender in keeping wifi connected to all of my Ring security cameras consistently.
I believe the product is a scam and I refuse to turn on the router without paying for security software. It's like buying a computer and not being able to use it without buying their security software. It should be illegal and there should be a class action lawsuit against them. I have personally faced this problem, so I speak from experience.
