About NETGEAR Netgear Nighthawk Whole Home Mesh WiFi 6 System
62% praised the intuitive app, but 38% struggled
I am dissatisfied with the remote app as it is a waste of time and lacks necessary tools and features.
I faced an issue with the app where I was unable to log in. The app kept saying that my password did not meet the requirements, even though it did.
The mobile app rarely works.
I am frustrated with the app and considering giving up on the whole system due to its poor performance.

69% praised the coverage area, but 31% found dead spots
The WiFi signal is great everywhere in my home, but the 3rd satellite just never came up.
Wireless coverage is decent at best but barely works in my driveway, which is just 12 feet away from the main router.
67% liked the customizable settings, yet 33% found them limited
The main router rebooted or lost power and wiped out half of my configured settings, including reserved IP addresses, port forwards, and even the password.
I am dissatisfied with the mobile app as it rarely works.
70% found it easy to set up, while 30% had trouble
I was able to set up all units and satellites without any issues in the same room, maybe 5 feet between them all.
The whole-home-mesh-wi-fi-system has never worked right from day 1 even after factory resets and firmware updates. It is the most aggravating piece of equipment I have ever dealt with.
66% liked the ability to support many devices, but 34% didn't
Devices connect to 2.4 GHz frequencies and the furthest satellite away from the device, as I mentioned.
I was able to set up all units and satellites without any issues in the same room, maybe 5 feet between them all. I also converted the router to AP mode without any problem and connected it to our network. But when I moved the satellites, one of the satellites never synced or connected, even after trying different solutions like factory resetting everything, switching roles of satellites, rolling back firmware to 3 different versions, etc.
I contacted Netgear and was informed that it was a configuration issue, not a hardware issue. However, since I was out of the 90-day window, the only solution was to pay $90 for their tech support.
71% appreciated the performance, but 29% experienced issues
I faced difficulty syncing the satellites and it took many tries to finally make it work.
I have had a terrible experience with the whole-home-mesh-wi-fi-system. It constantly goes offline and requires multiple power cycles to get it operational. It only lasts for a few days and I have to repeat the cycle over and over again.
I tried factory resetting everything and switching the roles of satellites, but the system never syncs.
The wireless frequently disconnects and is unstable, which is opposite of what I expected.
65% were impressed with the security features, although 35% weren't
I suspect there are hardware issues with the connections or some other bug in the firmware.
I am dissatisfied with the parental control feature. It should be free to the user. Also, there are better devices available at the same price point, so buyers should be aware of this.
Every time I have to change something, I have to reset the password as it does not accept the old password any longer.
There is no way to correct which satellite my device connects to.
