About Amazon eero Max 7 tri-band mesh wifi system
Overall Feedback:
74% positive
79% praised the intuitive app, but 21% struggled
I found the eero iOS App user-friendly and easy to use for setup and operation.
I found the setup process of the second eero Max 7 easy with its intuitive and user-friendly interface and application.
If you have other Amazon connected devices like the Amazon DOT, they can be turned on as small repeaters through the app.
I have noticed that inexpensive Beacons lack ethernet connectivity which makes it difficult to support non-wireless devices scattered throughout the house. With over 70 connected devices, the system is starting to struggle. Adding new sensors or smart plugs is becoming hit and miss. Our home's thick concrete floors require a second router for good connectivity on the lower floor.
I am dissatisfied with the eero app because it has limited customization options and requires an additional $10/month subscription for anything I want to do.
85% praised the coverage area, but 15% found dead spots
I upgraded to the 7 max to take advantage of the increased coverage area and number of devices that can be connected.
The mesh network of eero Max 7 seamlessly covers my entire home, eliminating dead spots and ensuring consistent signal strength in all corners.
I bought two mesh wifi devices to cover my 1600 sq ft house and blanket my 7000 sq ft yard.
I bought Eero Max 7 and it provides the coverage I need. The speeds are a vast improvement over the 6 Pro.
The coverage of this router is similar to my 6E for my condo.
I compared it with Eero Pro 6 and found it better. However, I expect perfection for the price and technology. I might need a fourth satellite, but my house is only 3000 sq ft and the pack of 3 is up to 7500 sq ft, so theoretically 3 should be more than enough.
76% liked the customizable settings, yet 24% found them limited
The quality of the product is obvious when I pick it up.
The eero app has limited customization options and requires payment for additional features.
I am using the same configuration as the Max 7 and it only gets about 160 GB down consistently.
Legacy Mode turns off WiFi 6 and leaves the network only broadcasting WiFi 2.4 and WiFi 5.
98% found it easy to set up
I was able to set up the product easily and replace my current Eero wifi6e in less than 5 minutes.
Setting up the eero Max 7 Mesh Network system was a breeze. I was able to set up the first device in less than 10 minutes and the rest of the satellites in about 5 minutes. The eero iOS App is very user-friendly and has more than enough features and controls for most users.
I have always been pleased with the seamless integration, ease of installation/modification, and the highly intuitive app.
75% liked the ability to support many devices, but 25% didn't
I added a two pack as additional nodes to our old (first gen) Eero system, keeping the older one as the gateway for now. The Max 7 units handle additional backhaul between them over the extra bands.
My wireless SONOS system of 14 devices throughout my home are all connected to the wireless LAN and play flawlessly without any drops.
Our system struggles to handle more than 70 connected devices and starts to huff and puff under the strain.
I found that the Eero system couldn't handle too many devices. I upgraded from 4 Eero Pros to 4 Eero 6e Pros, but still faced issues with scenes failing or receiving messages that something was offline.
88% appreciated the performance, but 12% experienced issues
The eero Max 7 has transformed my internet experience with faster speeds and excellent coverage, delivering on its promises as a high-performing mesh router.
It's a significant improvement over the Eero Pro 6+ without the need for a professional grade mesh network.
The Eero mesh is only suitable for those with sub-gigabit broadband. Other systems costing less can perform better.
71% were impressed with the security features
My security panels and cameras are connected via 5ghz and I no longer receive warnings of connection issues.
The app has limited settings in the web interface, but it was sufficient for my needs.
