The Android app interface works well with the settings and information I need. The Web interface has more comprehensive control settings and system reports.
The web gui of this mesh wifi system is wonderful and refreshing to use after years in Google's wifi ecosystem.
I recommend setting up the app via the browser interface connected via cable initially. It's easy and works quickly.
We have both a GUI interface on the web and an app, instead of just app control.

With a 2 unit setup, I consistently get 100% of my broadband bandwidth in every corner of my 3500 sq. ft. house.
The mesh wi-fi system covers the entire house, basement, two floors and even the yard.

I found it easy to define all the devices in my house, assign them to family members with age appropriate profiles, set traffic priority preference (QOS), and even some time-based schedules using the app.

The ASUS router setup has more user customizable features available compared to the Netgear Orbi.

The system has supported over 60 devices from different generations and has worked without any reboots for over a month now.
I used to have wifi problems with 6 devices in the house, but now I can use wifi without any issues whether I am in the house or in the backyard.
With just two units of the Asus 6e mesh system, my entire 2,800 sq.ft. house is covered, along with 73 connected devices.
I have 13 devices connected, 6 of which are wireless.

I have noticed that the Asus ZenWiFi Pro AXE11000 has improved my network speed to the highest speed I pay for, 1.4 gigs down & 40 upload. I compared it with my previous Orbi 850 system which never achieved above 900 down and 25 up.
Velop delivered about 850-900 Mb/s wired and 400 mb/s over wireless.
WiFi 6E is more stable than my old WiFi 6 Netgear access point, but not faster. 2.5 GBPS Ethernet backhaul has reduced congestion and sped up my LAN.
The performance of 5 and 6 ghz is outstanding, but 2.4 ghz is non-existent with full signal strength and 0-.5 mbps performance if lucky.

The ASUS router has several security features including firewalls, VPN, parental controls, and security protection.
I need to do more research to activate the best security options for me.
I am dissatisfied with the security features of the system. Some quality of life features are contracted to a third party and I have to agree to a disclaimer that ASUS holds no responsibility to how they collect and use my data. I will not be using any of those features.
