I don't want the protein powder to thicken up or have a weird aftertaste.
I want the protein powder to dissolve to nearly the same consistency as the liquid without it. Based on my experience, this is an important factor.
The protein shake has a mucous like consistency.

The whey protein powder has a great vanilla flavor that is not too sweet or thick.
Using 2 ounces of liquid less than recommended enhances the flavor.
The powder passes the flavor test, but not because it's delicious. It's decent and better than others I've tried that were not drinkable.
When I blended the blue container Whey Blends, I found the consistency to be terrible. I tried mixing it with different things, but nothing could make the texture of this blend appealing.
