I haven't used the pump long enough to comment on its long-term durability, but I believe it should last if maintained like any tool.
I noticed that the chamber that houses the impeller is made of very thin steel, which may not be durable and may rust fairly quickly.

I tested the tank with a magnet and found that it was not made of stainless steel as the magnet stuck.
