About Amarine Made 12V DC Submersible Deep Well Water Pump
Overall Feedback:
69% positive
71% found the motor to be reliable and durable, while 29% experienced frequent breakdowns
I installed the pump in a remote village in Uganda, Africa where I had been battling for three years without water.
I have noticed that the pump's thermal protection is sensitive. It runs for 5 minutes solid before shutting down for 1 minute and then runs for shorter periods until it levels off at 1 minute on, 1 minute off.
After just 3 months of use, the pump stopped working.
74% praised for its high flow rate, while 26% found it insufficient
Our pump can produce 7.5 liters per minute, exceeding the expected output.
After initial installation, the pump was only pumping about 1/4 of a gallon per minute.
65% liked the high-quality components, but 35% found them subpar
After one year of use, I removed the battery and connected it directly to a 120watt solar panel via Linear Current Booster and now I am getting more than the expected output.
Even on cloudy days with low battery voltage, I can still pump water uphill.
I bought 14ga wire thinking about it like I would for 120 volts, but didn't consider the voltage drop over the 135ft of wire. This shows my negative sentiment towards the material quality of the well-pump.
76% appreciated its high pressure rating, but 24% experienced low pressure
After one year of use, our pump is producing more than the expected output of 14 liters per minute.
I can pump water up hill through 300 feet 1.14 inch poly hose into holding tank with no problems.
After initial install, the pump was only pumping about 1/4 of a gallon per minute.
I am planning to lower the PSI to 60 to extend the life of the pump, it may not be very durable.
