About LANCHEZ 1 HP Shallow Well PumpGarden Pump
Overall Feedback:
86% positive
82% found the motor to be reliable and durable, while 18% experienced frequent breakdowns
I accidentally dragged the pump across the concrete pavers causing a pinhole leak. I fixed it by applying JB WELD and a thin piece of plastic. The pump has been used for 18 months once a week and is holding up well.
I noticed that the impeller and diffuser inside the pump are made of inexpensive plastic and are prone to distortion from heat over time or in case of a low water switch failure. I also faced a similar issue in Texas in Feb 2021 with the loss of power for a heat lamp.

I noticed that the stainless steel housing of the pump suction side developed pinhole leaks on the bottom of the pump housing, causing the pump to lose prime over time due to sucking air in the pinholes.

89% praised for its high flow rate
I observed the pump flowing at approximately 10 gallons per minute at a discharge pressure of 35 PSI.
81% liked the high-quality components, but 19% found them subpar
After 8 months of installation, our pump's stainless steel housing developed pinhole leaks on the suction side, causing it to lose prime over time by sucking air through the pinholes.
91% liked the quiet operation, but 9% found it too loud
I have complained that the pump makes a lot of noise, comparing it to the sound of grinding marbles.
I noticed that the first pump was very noisy and sounded like a bearing going out.
88% appreciated its high pressure rating
I was able to flow approximately 10 gallons per minute with the pump at a discharge pressure of 35 PSI.

I haven't used the pump long enough to comment on its long-term durability, but I believe it should last if maintained like any tool.
