The weed-killer is effective on nuisance trees of 4-5' diameter when applied in the fall by slashing the bark with an axe and spraying into the outer layer of the tree. The herbicide causes the trees to wilt over 2 weeks to 2 months as it gets sucked down to the roots.
The weed-killer effectively prevents resprouting on cut stumps of up to 8' diameter trees.
