I have mounted the webcam on top of my 32" monitor which is about 36" away, and I can work on my laptop, directly in front of the 32" monitor.
I am dissatisfied with the webcam mount as it is garbage and cannot be secured to the monitor, causing it to float freely and fall off if the desk shakes slightly.

My microphone volume is stuck at loud and does not respond to the Windows sound settings. Even the mic volume control in Zoom does not have any effect.

I can now use face recognition to log into my computer and websites, just like Apple has been doing for a long time.
My webcam works perfectly with my USB-C docking hub for my work laptop without any extra setup.
I just plugged in the USB out of the box and it started working. It's compatible with Windows 11 Hello Face and I was able to set up Windows Hello Face sign-in.
Both devices could detect and use the camera, but one failed to complete the Windows Hello setup while the other reported camera access issues.
