I am using the stand without the gooseneck and can attach a phone clamp to adjust the height.
I wish I could lower it a bit more than it allows, but it's not a big deal.
The base is stable and has all the parts to adjust to the right angle, which is perfect.
I appreciate the adjustable height of the stand, which allows me to use it even with a laptop on a stand in front of me.
