I read about problems with the adhesive not lasting in other reviews. I'm not sure if it will stay put, but so far, so good.
The adhesive is good but unforgiving. It can remove poorly applied paint from the metal door.
The 3M adhesive has kept sticking with no issues.
I suggest laying the strip gently without lengthwise tension to avoid extra strain on the glue.
