About MIKOSI 26 Feet Silicone Seal Strip,Door Weather Stripping
Overall Feedback:
72% positive
65% praised for its strong adhesive, but 35% found it losing its stick
I have complained about the substandard adhesive strength of the weather-stripping. I had to use tacks to keep it affixed and recommend applying it to the door and not the door frame.
The adhesive on this weather-stripping is not strong enough and does not work as expected.
The weather-stripping fell off the door due to the heat from outside.
I had to take extra steps to ensure the tape adhered properly to the metal surface. I used a hair blow dryer to warm up the surface prior to applying it and repeated the process for a large picture window. This indicates that the tape may have issues with its adhesive strength.
66% liked its long-lasting performance, but 34% found it wore out quickly
I am happy with the product as it completely stopped the wind from coming through, despite our old house having a poor seal on the doors. We have plenty left over for other areas of the house or if we need to redo anything.
I had to put additional heavy duty tape on it to adhere better to the steel, indicating that the durability of the weather-stripping is not up to the mark.
I am disappointed that the product does not stay on.
The adhesion of the weather-stripping is substandard, so I had to use tacks to keep it affixed.
Due to the heat from outside, the product kept falling off the door, indicating poor durability.
65% appreciated the reduced noise, though 35% didn't notice a difference
I did not mention anything about noise reduction of weather-stripping.
65% appreciated the tight seal, though 35% experienced air leaks
Around 80% of the air is stopped by the weather-stripping, making it better.
I had to put additional heavy duty tape on it to adhere better to the steel, indicating that the seal quality of the weather-stripping is not up to the mark.
I am disappointed with the adhesive strip. It is useless and embarrassing considering 3M is known for its adhesive products.
64% liked its flexible design, though 36% found it inflexible
The sealer moves with the door and maintains its strength when the door closes.
I cut the felt into long strips and applied it to the double-sided tape.
The weather-stripping is not wide enough to allow the door to push the flap into the crack and stop it from doing the sealing that I need.
I have complained about the substandard adhesive strength of the weather-stripping. I had to use tacks to keep it affixed and recommend applying it to the door and not the door frame.
The adhesive strength of the weather-stripping made me nervous that it would eventually rip itself off, but it has been well over half a year and it has not.
The weather-stripping adhesion is pretty good and it was easy to work with.
