I have noticed that the weather station only connects to 2.4 routers and not to the router with 2.4 and 5g. It seems to be a known issue with no fix.
I faced difficulty connecting the device to my WiFi due to the 2.4 GHz/5GHz Orbi mesh router system I use, which isn't very flexible to assigning devices to specific channels. However, after some persistence, I was able to connect it and it is now working fine.
