About La Crosse Technology C83100-INT WiFi Professional Weather Station
Overall Feedback:
65% positive
68% were satisfied with the range of sensors, although 32% weren't
I faced a problem with the wind speed sensor after only 10 months of use. The sensor stopped giving wind speed after I replaced the batteries 3 months ago. I climbed up onto the roof to replace the batteries again and discovered that the battery terminals in the wind sensor were rusted. I did not receive any response from LaCrosse.
The advertised sensor range for this weather station is 400 ft, but in reality, the sensors function within 50 ft of the station.
64% appreciated the connectivity options; nevertheless, 36% experienced issues
I had to go through multiple displays and routers/modems before finally fixing the WIFI issues with my weather display. This shows that I faced connectivity issues and tried multiple options before finding a solution.
I faced a problem while connecting the weather-station to WiFi. Losing a portion of detail can be avoided by connecting to WiFi.
I have noticed that the weather station requires a 2.4 GHz WiFi signal to function and the receiver quality is poor, struggling to receive a solid signal even when close to the router.
76% liked the user interface and display, but 24% found it confusing
To set up and run this station, I need the LaCrosse View App which is nearly 100 MB and has a slow and cumbersome user interface. Even the most technically savvy will struggle with it.
68% highlighted the durability and weather resistance, yet 32% experienced wear
I had to replace the cups in 2018 due to hail storm damage, but since then, the weather system has been reliable, proving its durability in harsh weather conditions.
I am disappointed with the durability of the weather station. The rain gauge died within a year of the warranty expiration and I had to nurse along the Anemometer with solder and dielectric grease.
62% liked the accuracy of measurements, although 38% found inaccuracies
I am not completely sure about the accuracy of the rain gauge and there is a little delay in the recording, but overall I am satisfied with the unit.

The display is smaller than expected, only 3.66 inches tall, which was not clear from the listing picture.
