After 5 months of use, the membrane surface on the top where the controls are is cracking and the area surrounding one of the buttons fell off.
The blue flexible covering on top of the radio cracks and breaks when exposed to warm water, soap, or shampoo, making it unsuitable for use in a shower or bath as it is not waterproof once the membrane breaks.
After several years of use, the plastic covering the buttons has worn away, creating openings that water might be able to get into and damage the unit.
After opening it up, the radio became less waterproof and the problems only got worse.

I find the Sony ICF-S79W AM/FM/Weather Band Digital Tuner Shower Radio easy to use.
After a year of use in the shower, the blue membrane over the buttons failed, allowing water to leak into my radio. However, the radio has decent reception and is easy to tune.
The buttons on this radio are located on the top, making it difficult for me and my wife to reach them. The GE radio I previously used had the buttons on the front, which made it easier to use.
