About FosPower 4000mAh NOAA Emergency Weather Radio (Model A3)
66% liked the long-lasting battery life, while 34% experienced short battery life
The radio has a 4000 mAh battery that can be charged via USB, sunlight or cranking.
I charged my radio to 100% the week before and after the movie, and it still had 80% battery left, indicating good battery life.
I am disappointed with the battery life of the weather radio. It only holds a charge for a short period of time. I tested the battery life by charging the units overnight and placing one in my truck and one inside my home. After 3 weeks of sitting, both units were at 25%. I contacted the manufacturer, Fospower, and they told me that this is normal and that the units should run for a long time. I am unhappy with this response and do not have confidence in the unit or the company.
For a week, my device kept fluctuating between 50% and 75% charged. It appears that turning it on for a few seconds consumes more battery than solar power charges it.
77% praised for its rugged design, but 23% experienced broken parts
The radio is durable as it is built with quality waterproof plastics.
I have lost confidence in the unit and company due to issues with the battery holding charge and the device's unreliability in emergency situations.
69% found the interface easy to use
I found the device easy to use as it still had 80% battery left after charging it to 100% the week before and after the movie.
The radio has good reception even without electricity.
74% liked its compact and lightweight design
The radio is portable with a feature to hang it from belt or backpack.
The weather radio has a good battery life. I charged it to 100% before and after the movie and it still had 80% battery left.
Having this weather radio in every household is a good idea.
I am grateful for this product as it is the only way I can see and charge my phone during a blackout.
69% praised for its strong signal reception, while 31% experienced poor reception
The radio stopped playing after about 2 minutes.
81% praised for its loud and clear sound
The radio has a great loud sound.
The sound quality of the weather radio band is clear and crisp, despite its typical sound.
