About NOAA Weather Crank Solar Powered Portable Radio
75% liked the long-lasting battery life, while 25% experienced short battery life
I always have spare rechargeable batteries handy so I don't have to buy new ones.
I tested the battery life of the Running Snail radio and found that after 24 hours, the light began to dim a little but the radio still worked. The light lasted a total of 39 hours before completely going out.
After sitting in sunlight for 3 days, my battery meter still reads 3 bars.
I am disappointed with the battery life of the weather radio. The lithium batteries only last 6 months and no longer charge, which is a significant issue since they should typically last 2-3 years. The cost of replacing each battery is also a concern.

72% praised for its rugged design
I have used other hand crank lights/radios that broke after regular use. The hand crank on this one is made of plastic but seems durable enough for its intended purpose.
I am satisfied with the quality of the solar panel as it charges the device in indirect window light in the summer and with an LED bulb.
I highly recommend this product for every emergency bag, go bag, survival kit, car, etc. due to its durability and ease of packing. It has an antenna and a sturdy handle, making it a valuable asset for proactive safety.
72% found the interface easy to use, while 28% found it confusing
The crank is easy to use and provides power for the flashlight, which is super bright.
The sound quality is decent and I would prefer present weather stations, but the digital feature makes it easy to tune.
The siren is easy to accidentally turn on and it startles me.
71% liked its compact and lightweight design
It is easy to carry and power up the device with batteries and/or solar power. The USB port also allows for easy addition of plugs and adapters.
74% praised for its strong signal reception, while 26% experienced poor reception
The weather radio has a special weather channel and lots of AM/FM channels.
My local radio station comes in very clear even when I am inside.
I did not mention the weather radio's signal strength.
If we address the problems mentioned above, this could be a great emergency radio.
72% praised for its loud and clear sound, but 28% experienced poor audio quality
The sound quality is average, but I would prefer a present weather station. It's easy to tune because it's digital.
The radio made an obnoxious siren sound for a minute or so before the NOAA broadcast started. It happened twice and I turned it off after 15 minutes.
For a radio of this size, the FM sound is good, but the AM sound is not the best.
