The battery life of this weather radio is very good, with around 80 hours of use using earphones.
The battery life is prodigious and I have yet to see the original battery charge show any sign of depletion.

I faced the same issue with two of these radios. To avoid any mishap, I advise securing the radio in a closed pouch as the belt clip does not grab. On the first day of owning this radio, it slipped off my belt while walking in the office, cracking the display and rendering it useless.
On fresh Duracell batteries, the radio only gets 4-6 hours of use even with Weather Alert turned off and the radio locked when not in use.
