Overall Feedback:
80% positive
74% found the perfect tooth and absorbency, while 26% had issues with paper buckling
I expect the paper to buckle a little even if it is stretched, but it's understandable for the price.
This paper has poor absorbency, making it difficult for beginner watercolor artists to work with. The paint puddles on the paper, creating splotches of paint, essentially water stains.
67% appreciated minimal bleed and feathering, but 33% experienced excessive spreading
The glue used to keep the paper together was too strong and some pages ripped during removal.
Under a couple of layers of watercolor, the paper will buckle and wrinkle a little.
73% praised the smooth surface texture, but 27% found it too rough
I find the surface of the paper lovely and have compared it to other types of paper. I am satisfied with its texture.
The surface texture of the paper is like regular card stock and some of the pages are stained.
The paper behaves oddly as it is not 100% cotton. It has a flat texture on one side and a little more tooth on the other.
I dislike the size of the pad as it is one inch over the commonly frameable 11x14 size, making it a bit inconvenient.
When using very wet media such as watercolor, the paper is not very absorbent.
