I got one walkie-talkie wet in the rain and the keypad stopped working. I cleared and reprogrammed it and it started working again.

I was able to get a range of 6-7 miles between radio to radio.
I was able to communicate with my brother over three miles away in a densely built urban environment with very little distortion, which shows that the range of the radio is impressive and I have experienced it myself.

The sound quality of the walkie-talkie is very poor. I could barely hear my companion who was less than a half-mile behind me. I compared it with my old radio, which could pick up signals from several miles away.
