My major complaint is with the grass catcher bag. The plastic bottom with sharp edges cuts through the fabric bag after just 3 months of use.
79% liked its cutting performance; however, 21% experienced issues with uneven cutting or missed spots
The cut quality is poor and the blade that comes with the mower is not a mulching blade. The power output of the mower is also low, except when it encounters deeper grass, at which point the motor temporarily increases rpm to a level at which it should always be turning.
77% found it easy to maneuver; however, 23% struggled with turns or navigating around obstacles
The speed adjustment wheel is a great feature that allows me to set the speed of the self propelled wheels when moving.
Compared to my previous mower, this one is lightweight and maneuverable. However, it lifts up and skips when going up and down hills on uneven surfaces.
The front of the mower protrudes 8 inches beyond the blade, making it difficult to cut near obstacles unless I use the side edge of the mower.
79% found it easy to maintain and clean
I will not have another gas mower again as the maintenance for this one is so much easier than dealing with gas/oil/spark plugs every year.
83% found the height adjustment mechanism convenient
One of my favorite features of the mower is the height adjustment, which is done by just a quick slide of a lever.
78% found the handle comfortable and ergonomically designed
I found the mower to be lighter with better wheels, making it easier for me to turn with less effort, especially with many tree and shrub obstacles in my yard.
81% liked its engine power; however, 19% experienced occasional stalls or lack of power
The power output of the mower is low unless encountering deeper grass, at which point the motor temporarily increases rpm to a consistent level.
78% were impressed with its durability; however, 22% noticed premature wear or component failures
My output shaft for the rear wheel drive rusted and the motherboard went bad after 4 1/2 times.
83% appreciated its maneuverability and ease of use
Experiential insights by users
The mower doesn't mulch well and clumps up quickly after a couple of passes. It choked out and stalled multiple times while cutting the grass. I compared its performance with my 15-year-old Honda mower.
