About EGO Power+ LM2142SP 21-Inch 56-Volt Lithium-Ion Cordless Electric Dual-Port Walk Behind Self Propelled Lawn Mower
Overall Feedback:
75% positive
93% appreciated its grass collection system; however, 7% encountered issues like clogging or spilling
Nothing sticks to the plastic and there are no places for the grass clippings to hide on my electric mower.
I like the grass-clippings catcher as it is easy to remove, empty, and replace.
I have to recut the entire lawn every time because the lines are about 4 inches high, even though the grass was cut to 2.5 inches.
I compared the mulching capability of EGO mower with Craftsman mower. The Craftsman turned the leaves into dust and the EGO turns them into chips.
87% appreciated its engine power and performance
I was able to cut through my highest grass like I was cutting 3 inch high grass on a 4 inch setting. I could hear the motor complain a little when it got REALLY tough, but it didn't slow down.
I use two batteries in my mower to extend mowing time and provide plenty of power for mowing tall grass.
86% found it easy to maneuver; however, 14% struggled with turns or navigating around obstacles
The electric mower is lighter than the gas mower, making it easier to push without self-propelled engaged and maneuver.
When not using the self propel feature, I find it difficult to maneuver the mower in tight areas and the grass is cut lower.
79% found it low maintenance; however, 21% encountered difficulties with maintenance tasks
I was instructed by the helpful tech on the criteria to follow for a warranty claim with EGO. This includes fully charging the battery, recording outdoor temperature, measuring lawn height, recording the height of the mower, cut lawn and run time before the battery fails, recording the color of the battery indicator fail light and the number of blinks.
I found two broken wires at the pivot point and soldered in splices myself. I used the mower for the rest of the season, which shows my experience with maintenance of walk-behind-lawn-mowers.
74% found it easy to adjust height; however, 26% experienced difficulty with the adjustment mechanism
I was able to cut through the highest grass like it was cutting 3 inch high grass on a 4 inch setting with the mower.
I like that the lawn mower is easy to adjust the mowing height because it is lighter and all the wheels can be adjusted at once.
On the EGO mower, I can adjust the height with one lever, while on the Craftsman mower, I had to adjust each wheel separately.
I had to adjust both sides of the telescoping handle so that the safety switch would disengage at full extension.
67% appreciated its maneuverability and ease of use
68% found it provided a clean and even cut
79% appreciated its relatively quiet operation

I find the self-propelled controls odd and they require a lot of eye/hand coordination. Other mowers I've owned let this be the main propelled feature.
75% liked its grass collection capacity and efficiency
79% found it provided a clean and even cut
77% appreciated its maneuverability and ease of use

I noticed that the mower doesn't cut taller grass cleanly at lower height and drains the battery faster. The grass is around 8 inches to 1 foot.
