It is easy to clean the waffle maker with very little spray needed to make waffles or chaffles. It can be cleaned with a damp towel.
It's extremely easy to clean up the mess made while using the waffle iron. The inside of the maker doesnt get anything stuck on it at all and it looks like it was never used. The outside is what got messy, but was extremely easy to clean off with a damp rag.
