About DONGJIAN HDMI Audio Extractor,4K HDMI to HDMI
Overall Feedback:
91% positive
81% liked the perfect connectivity, but 19% found it lacking
If I change the source and use Bluetooth to connect directly to the same speaker, the music sounds much fuller and the bass hits harder.
I connected the fire stick to this device, then hdmi video to the projector and aux cable audio to speaker box. The setup was easy.
When I used it with a Chromecast, I found the audio quality lacking in mids and bass. I compared it with a Chromecast Audio on both powered monitor speakers and a HiFi receiver.
There is a small millisecond delay in the sound split off of HDMI signal.
86% liked the long-lasting durability, but 14% found it wore out quickly
Upon receiving the extractor, I noticed that the USB power port was wobbly and upon opening it up, I found that the pins were broken on the board.
89% found it easy to install
If only the box had fiber audio out, it would be better, as suggested by me.
It's a positive aspect that it works with Chromecast and the new Chromecast with remote.
It works great, is cheaper than a new Chromecast, and does the same job as a discontinued Chromecast audio.
The video converter came with the necessary cables and I set it up in just a minute. I had no issues hearing everything while gaming.
92% liked the sound quality, but 8% found it got bad
It works great and does the same job as a discontinued Chromecast audio.
The box passes the video to the monitor and breaks out the audio stream to a headphone jack.
When I use it with a Chromecast, the audio quality is flat and lacks mids and bass.
I noticed that the audio lacks low end, resulting in a tinny sound for games and music.
The sound quality is not up to the mark when streaming Spotify through Chromecast. The music is a bit soft and the bass doesn't come through much.
There is a small millisecond delay in the sound split off of HDMI signal, resulting in an unsynchronized echo-like sound with the main TV/sound system.
I bought this device to connect my projector to my soundbar for audio while still using the projector for video.
