About ClearClick Video to Digital Converter 2.0 (Second Generation)
Overall Feedback:
94% positive
79% liked the perfect connectivity, but 21% found it lacking
I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to connect and use the ClearClick Video to Digital Converter 2.0.
While converting video, ensure that RCA cables are inputted for both left and right audio. I had to buy a Y splitter due to my funky cable for the HI-8 camcorder.
I find the device not suitable for transfers.
Syncing audio in editing is a huge problem as it varies from a few frames to 45 frames.
I was unable to connect the device to my computer running Windows 11.
I am unable to use any of the SD cards with the device.
93% liked the long-lasting durability, but 7% found it wore out quickly
I can rely on the device's top-notch build quality, which ensures it is not just a one-time use gadget but a durable piece of technology.
If there is a gap in the recording where it goes to snow, the video converter will drop out of record and create a corrupt file.
I find the build quality of the ClearClick box not very sturdy and it does not provide confidence for long-term use.
96% found it easy to install
The interface of the converter is user-friendly and easy to use. No complicated setup is required. I was able to convert my old VHS tapes and camcorder recordings with absolute ease.
I was pleasantly surprised with the ease of connecting and using the ClearClick Video to Digital Converter 2.0.
I have had no issues with this product.
I need a converter for my home videos and this device is easy to use.
The ClearClick 2.0 analog to digital tape converter is easy to use and works as expected.
88% appreciated the high-quality output
When using the video converter, the picture on the LCD display is sharp and clear.
I have improved the DPI on my captured photos by 2X and can now capture video.
On the monitor and camcorder, the picture looks more crisp.
92% liked the sound quality, but 8% found it got bad
I faced issues with the sound quality of the video converter and had to record some VHS tapes multiple times. I even bought new cables but still had the same problem.
The captured video is extremely jittery/choppy and difficult to watch. The video quality is worse than on the original tape.
While recording, I noticed that the ClearClick had no sound, only the camcorder did.
On the high setting, the video quality on the Naxa was quite low.
I faced an issue with the sound while using the device. I re-read the product page and saw that it recommends not to use a USB hub or splitter. I solved the issue by plugging the device directly into the laptop and adding a USB Microphone audio input device in OBS.
If I capture the audio separately from the video, it will be in sync. But if I join the channels in the video capture, it will be out of sync.
