The straps and buckles are thick, solid and easy to adjust.
The straps on this cargo carrier are the most annoying/tricky part. They don't easily tighten or loosen, so it takes a lot of effort to adjust them. It takes a lot of time and effort to get the straps on very tight.
After 4 hours into my trip, the cargo carrier was tearing on the top and the straps kept loosening up.
