I installed a camera on the front license plate of my truck to view obstacles that are hard to see in front of the vehicle due to the high hood line.
I would have preferred a camera lens with a smaller field of view, perhaps 90 degrees, as the wide field of view is not useful when driving.

I had to get the camera installed by a professional auto technician. The wiring of the camera in the trunk of a Nissan Juke is tricky and took a while for the guy to hide the cable.
