About FOODSAVER FoodSaver VS0150 PowerVac Compact Vacuum Sealing Machine
Overall Feedback:
68% positive
68% highlighted the bag compatibility, but 32% found limited
Creating a custom-sized bag is usually the problem.
After a few hours or days, the vacuum is gone and I assume it is from micro-punctures caused by sharp edges of apple chunks. I suggest double-bagging potentially poke-y things.
I would appreciate at least one roll of bags and some premade bags.
76% found it easy to use, yet 24% encountered usability issues
The FoodSaver vacuum sealer is easy to use and performs well for its intended purpose.
Once I get the hang of closing it, this machine is easier to use than the old model that required a selection to be changed from sealing to open or storage.
Using the vacuum sealer is like a mini workout because of its tall and awkward design.
71% were satisfied with the seal quality ; however, 29% weren't
The seal quality of this vacuum sealer is excellent, ensuring that food stays fresh and secure.
The sealing process is finicky and requires specific bag placement. It takes much time and wastes plastic to get a proper vacuum seal.
73% appreciated the sealing speed, although 27% found it slow at times
The seal quality is excellent, ensuring that my food stays fresh and secure.
It takes about 10 seconds more to seal the bag than my old one, but it's not a downside.
I have noticed that the vacuum sealer struggles to remove all air from the bag on the first attempt. It requires four attempts to remove all air from the same bag. Some bags only partially seal.
The machine does not seal properly and leaves air in the bag, defeating the purpose of a vacuum sealer and causing concern about food spoilage.
68% liked the vacuum sealing strength, but 32% found it inconsistent
I did not mention anything specific about the vacuum sealing strength of the vacuum sealer.
To use the vacuum sealing feature, we need to use their bags.
Locking the arms while sealing requires a lot of force, which is the only downside of the product.
The vacuum function is not efficient in sealing moist items and only works 1/3 of the time.
I was able to choose my settings, put the bag in and it suctioned out the air and sealed it quickly.
