I bought this adapter to connect my Dell U2515H monitor to my new 2016 MacBook Pro w/TB through a Mini DisplayPort cable. It works as advertised and I was rather disappointed that Apples own Thunderbolt 3 to 2 adapter doesn't support DisplayPort.
