I have personally tested it and it is perfect for Fire TV. It provides mouse, keyboard, and other abilities.
The adapter only supports FAT 32 and exFAT, not NTFS.
I doubt that both cables could be faulty and assume there may be some compatibility issue, resulting in a 2-star rating.
