I can use this USB network adapter with my old laptop that only supports USB 2.0. Compared to other more expensive USB 3.0 plugins, this one does the job I need it to do.

I am not sure what caused my device to fail in such a short amount of time, despite purchasing it less than a year ago. I have also seen similar issues in other posts, indicating that this is not an isolated incident.
After 2 months of use, my adapter broke and now it only works intermittently and constantly drops connection. I tried it on another laptop and had the same experience. It seems that the adapter is not well made and does not hold up well over time.
