I can plug in my Apple charger and still use all the other jacks on this USB hub while my computer gets power from the charger.
I bought this device solely for its USB C power provision, but it does not work when plugged into my desktop Macs.

I transferred 350GB of data from one external to another and it was done quickly with a much faster speed than a 2.0 USB.
Transferring 1gb from hard drive to SD card takes 20 minutes, while other adapters take 45 seconds to a minute per GB transfer.
I noticed that the write speed for any attached device is very slow.

The adapter I have is flat and has enough ports for pretty much anything I have thrown at or on it so far.

The USB hub works great with my graphics tablet and the cable length keeps wires out of the way while I work.
I suggest that the cable connecting to the usb-c side should be a bit longer.
I prefer a more compact setup, so the short connecting cable on the adapter hasn't been an issue for me.
