I am unable to power the external portable DVD using this hub, even with an external USB-C power source attached. I receive a message indicating that the hub cannot power it and suggest plugging it into the MacBook Pro instead.
The hub worked fine for about 8 months, but then my Mac turned it off due to excessive power usage.
When I connect the power pass through to my Dell laptop, it shows slow charging even with the original charger. The power pass through is not enough.

The USB hub works great for extending the display and provides additional USB ports for other accessories since I have only 2 USB-C ports on my iMac.
My Bluetooth devices do not work well with the USB-A ports. My mouse and keyboard move very slow and freeze often when connected to this port.

Initially, I was unhappy about having to add an adapter because it would be annoying to carry extra cables/adapters. However, this piece is lightweight and does not bother me at all.
The only drawback is that the cord is not retractable, which means it will be sticking out constantly. However, I am not too bothered by it.
I find the cable attached to the unit a bit stiff and short, making it difficult to orientate the unit and causing it to dangle at an awkward angle while plugging and unplugging peripheral devices.
