About Anker USB C Hub Adapter Upgraded, 5-in-1 USB C Adapter
Overall Feedback:
88% positive
64% highlighted the power delivery feature, while 36% didn't
I found that the USB hub cannot handle a hard drive that requires power and another device simultaneously.
The product has a power limitation of 900 mAh, so I will need external power or some high power devices may not function.
93% liked the variety of port types
I have a Microsoft Surface Laptop 3 which doesn't have a lot of ports. This hub allows me to have more connections.
I have a tablet with three USB-A ports, an HDMI port, and an ethernet port, which is sufficient for my needs.
I can enjoy my favorite movies, presentations, and content on a larger screen with stunning high-definition video and audio output from the 4K USB C to HDMI port of this adapter.
94% appreciated the number of ports
I can expand a single USB C port into 3 USB 3.0 ports, 1 HDMI port and a gigabit Ethernet port with the hub.
Having three USB ports is a big plus. None of the snap-on hubs had more than two.
The tablet has three USB 3.0 ports, allowing for fast data transfer and easy connection of multiple USB devices.
The tablet has three USB-A ports, an HDMI port, and an ethernet port for wired internet, which is sufficient for my needs.
I have a hub with 3 USB data ports, 1 HDMI multimedia port, and 1 high-speed Ethernet port.
86% praised the data transfer speed, however 14% found it slower
The read/write speed on my hard drive is fast and both the HDMI port and ethernet cable work well.
I transferred large files with a speed of up to 75 MB/s using the USB 3 port, which is close to the maximum expected speed of 100 MB/s.
Three USB 3.0 ports offer blazing-fast data transfer speeds, making it effortless to connect various USB devices simultaneously.
This device is limited to 5Gbs, which means it lacks full USB 3.1 compatibility. I also doubt it can provide the advertised speed.
88% praised the wide compatibility
The USB-C port works well with my Dell XPS 15 9560 computer, which has a thunderbolt 3 port.
I did not face any compatibility issues while using the USB hub. I used it with a Chromebook and MacAir laptops without any issues.
87% appreciated the cable length, but 13% required longer cables
The braided cable length of this USB hub is 7 1/2 inches long.
When the laptop is connected to this hub, the mouse needs to be within 12-18 inches of the receiver to connect, but the range is much greater when away from the hub.
The cable connecting the hub to my laptop is very short, causing everything to be cramped in a corner on my desk.
I listed the specific ports available on the hub: 1 USB-C data port, 1 USB-C Power Delivery Port, 2 USB-A data ports, 1 HDMI port, an Ethernet port, and a microSD/SD card reader.
