I purchased this USB Hub to avoid tension and ugly cable management caused by shorter peripheral cables.
It was difficult to make the cables go in straight without sitting on the floor. I plugged the splitter into the computer and the long cord enabled me to set it on top of the computer and leave it there. Now plugging in a cable is much easier.
For my situation, the four-foot cord is very useful as the ones with short cords would not reach.
