I am happy with the compatibility of this flash drive as it works with both USB-C and USB-A ports, and it worked right out of the package for me.
The device works with both USB-C and older USB connections, which is convenient for me as I have both older and newer desktops and laptops.
On other systems, the USB-A side of the drive ensures compatibility.
If you use a PC and Mac combo, it is suggested to format the drive to ExFAT to avoid file compatibility issues when opening files between the two.

I reformatted the flash drive as per my Mac's suggestion to use encrypted data between my Mac and the flash drive.
I have configured my usb-flash-drive to a dual system. The first partition is 32gb and formatted to work on any Mac or PC. The second partition is 96gb and Mac-encrypted (FileVault2) so that it can only be read on a Mac with the password. This allows me to keep 96gb of secure data that only shows up on my Mac with the password.

The write speed ranges from 8-20 MB/s and it is terrible.
The transfer speed of a very large mp4 test movie from my computer to this drive was disappointing. It was about 20MB/s for the 28GB file.
In reality, the transfer data speeds advertised on the packaging are not any faster than <150 MB/s.
