About SanDisk 256GB Ultra Fit USB 3.1 Flash Drive
72% highlighted the lasting build, while 28% disagreed
The build quality feels solid and I believe it will last for several years.
I am disappointed with the extreme thinness of the plastic used to make the drive.
82% were impressed by extensive compatibility, but 18% weren't
I have used the USB drive as a permanent solution for my older Macbook Pro on bootcamp (Windows 10) without any issues.
I was excited about the flash drive because it claimed to work with almost anything and had a picture of a car audio head unit. However, when I loaded it with audio and video, I found out that exfat format does not work with everything and there is no format I can convert it to to get it to work.
Sometimes, I have noticed that the drive doesn't work with some OTG adapters and Android devices while transferring media to tablets.
79% appreciated the data security features
I don't worry about losing data when backing up to this drive. It's not a fake drive that overwrites itself.
76% praised the fast transfer speed, while 24% raised concerns
When formatted with the right format, I found that the drive performs well with file copy/transfer, but it is not suitable for LiveOS use due to its poor random IO.
When transferring content from Windows, transfer speeds are inconsistent.
The transfer speed of the flash drive was very slow while copying files. For instance, when copying 26 GB of files (76 folders and 669 files of varying sizes) from my laptop to it, the writing speed was ranging from several hundred Kilobytes per second to 30 MB per second, but most of the time the copying speed was under 10 MB per second.
I am disappointed with the transfer speed of the USB flash drive. The speed slows down to a crawl long before the writing is done, which is pitiful for something advertising high performance.

89% were impressed by the capacious storage
I use a usb-flash-drive to store a portable LinuxOS with a big enough storage capacity for more.
