Installing the app allows me to set a password to protect the data on the Flash Drive, similar to the data on my phone. This is useful for private photos or work data that should not fall into the wrong hands if the Drive is lost.
I trust Sandisk hardware but am concerned about the privacy of mobile apps.
The USB drive fails to download large videos and immediately stops with a warning symbol, making it useless for me to clear videos from my iPhone.
I have no interest in sending my personal data to a server in a possibly hostile country just to use the product's app.
