About PNY 64GB Turbo Attach 3 USB 3.0 Flash Drive 5-Pack
71% highlighted the lasting build, while 29% disagreed
The construction of the drive is cheap with a very obvious plastic build. Once plugged into my MacBook Pro, the color scheme goes nicely and the plasticky look is less noticeable.
I am concerned that the cover piece could snap off and it doesn't close easily.
71% were impressed by extensive compatibility
USB flash drives are rated as 3.0 and are 10 times faster than 2.0. They are also backward compatible if the device does not have a compatible 3.0 port.
70% appreciated the data security features, but 30% disagreed
The fake USB flash drive has a small memory which causes overwriting of already placed data because it isn't the size it should be.
I formatted the flash drive to FAT32 and it couldn't load my 19G movie.
72% were impressed by the capacious storage
I can now free some space from my 32GB internal memory.
I purchased 2 of these to expand my Xbox One storage for 4-5 games with DLC and the 500GB drive is pretty much maxed out.
The USB flash drive's storage space increased from 6 GB to 134 GB, minus some for system formatting. It was a no-brainer for me.
70% praised the fast transfer speed, while 30% raised concerns
I transferred 4 GB in about 6 seconds, which exceeded my expectations.
The transfer speed started slow and then rapidly degraded to less than 11 MBytes/s.
My write transfer speeds constantly drop to 0 while transferring files and sometimes moving/copying a 14MB file or any small file takes around 5mins because I never know when the drive will decide to start working and finish the copy/move process.
After the initial burst of about 70 MB/s, I noticed that the transfer process quickly settled to a minimum of 4.5 MB/s and a maximum of 14.7 MB/s, with an average transfer rate of 12.46 MB/s. The total transfer time for 47.1 GB was 63 minutes. Rephrased: I observed that the transfer process settled to a minimum of 4.5 MB/s and a maximum of 14.7 MB/s, with an average transfer rate of 12.46 MB/s after the initial burst of about 70 MB/s.
