I have used this vacuum on different surfaces and found it impressive. I have tile and LVP wood floors, a few rugs, and 2 large short hair dogs.
There is a switch to change the vacuum from carpet to bare floors.
The vacuum works well for cleaning up dirt on hard or solid floors with its dual setting.
The vacuum works great on carpet, wood floors and ceramic tile.

My sister thinks the vacuum is too heavy and bulky for stairs.

I have noticed that there is only one spot on the vacuum to attach the tools, but they give you 2 tools. Also, the tool attachments frequently fall off the holder slot on the vacuum when in use.
