I have used this vacuum on different surfaces and found it impressive. I have tile and LVP wood floors, a few rugs, and 2 large short hair dogs.
There is a switch to change the vacuum from carpet to bare floors.
The vacuum works well for cleaning up dirt on hard or solid floors with its dual setting.
The vacuum works great on carpet, wood floors and ceramic tile.

I like the 'sports car' handling of this vacuum. It's light and easy to maneuver around furniture. The 10 inch roller gets into tight spaces, and the 25 foot cord lets me cover most rooms without having to unplug often.
My sister thinks the vacuum is too heavy and bulky for stairs.
