The vacuum works great on low pile area rugs and hardwood floors. It also worked well on my plush high pile area rug in the bedroom, but I had to work to get it to move.
On level 1, I found the vacuum to work great on hardwood, laminate, and tile. It easily gets under most of my cabinets and vacuums right up to the wall/corner.

The vacuum is significantly quieter than my previous Hoover wind tunnel.
This vacuum is not as loud as other vacuums I have had and hardly scares the dog.

I find the attachments of the vacuum conveniently stored and easy to use. The turbo tool worked great at removing dog hair from upholstery, despite my initial skepticism.
I tried using the 'turbo brush' attachment on my couch, but it stopped spinning almost immediately. The suction was still there to get the job done, but the brush itself seems pointless.
